Annuity decisions should never be a judgment call
Most of our clients come to us seeking better answers.
Either they've been pitched an annuity and information feels off or incomplete. Or they already have annuities, but don't really understand them.

After a conversation with us, we often hear from both clients and advisors:

— "No one has ever taken the time to explain that."
— "I wish I would have known this before."
— "You explain things so clearly, the path for us is a no brainer."

While this sounds self-promoting, it's actually signaling a bigger problem...

That's not my statistic. It's the industry:

—30% of advisors quit within 90 days
—90% within one year
—95% exit by year five

Those that make it typically ​sell many different products. Advice almost always lacks nuance awareness. The few who do specialize may not be doing it at a high level. ​
​We are often told from internals at insurance companies that they rarely see planning as detailed as what we do at Aston Penney.
As nice as that is for us to hear, it's another signal.
Industry standard isn't good enough. Too many people are leaving money on the table. This needs to change.

I have very strong views on service and how people should be treated in general. "Good enough" shouldn't ever be good enough. We are always looking for ways to improve because it matters.
